Michael Aram Silver Orchid Large Tray

The Silver Orchid Large Tray is Michael Aram's most elegant serving surface — 19"L × 11.5"W × 2.5"H of hand-textured stainless steel carrying white enamel orchid blooms over natural brass, finished in nickelplate. At 19" it's large enough for a full drinks service, a cheese and charcuterie spread, or a bathroom vanity arrangement — and sculptural enough to sit empty on a console or sideboard as a permanent decorative object. The raised rim contains the contents. The orchid metalwork along the edges and base gives it a presence that a plain tray at any price doesn't have.

The Silver Orchid Collection renders the Orchid Collection's central motif in a cooler, purer palette: white enamel blooms over golden brass stems, nickelplate field, hand-textured stainless steel body. The effect is closer to the actual white orchid flower than the warmer brass-forward versions — quieter, more luminous, more precisely aligned with what Michael Aram describes as orchids' sense of "purity that I associate with new beginnings." Each tray is cast and finished individually in his New Delhi workshop; no two are exactly alike in the fine detail of the enamel and surface texture.
