Michael Aram picture frames are among the most collected pieces in his catalogue — and for good reason. Where most frames exist to disappear, a Michael Aram frame earns its place on the mantel, the console, or the gallery wall as an object in its own right. Each frame is cast in hand-textured metal — oxidised brass, nickelplate, 24K goldplate — with the same botanical and organic motifs that define the broader collection. The ginkgo leaves of Butterfly Ginkgo, the ribbon forms of Anemone, the sculptural precision of Orchid: they wrap the frame as naturally as they appear on any other object in the collection.
Every Michael Aram frame is handcrafted individually in his New Delhi atelier. The slight variation in patina and surface from piece to piece is the hallmark of the casting process — confirmation that what you're holding was made by hand. Frames are available in 4×6, 5×7, and 8×10 sizes across the major collections, with both standard and reflective glass options in Butterfly Ginkgo.
